Although the Department does not have a specific hazardous materials response team, ALL PERSONNEL are trained to meet requirements for the Hazardous Materials First Responder Awareness.
A small group of personnel have been trained to the higher levels. Due to lengthy railway lines, I-5 and Highway 89 traversing the City, there is a high potential for a hazardous materials transportation incident.
